Kristine Rørtveit is associate professor at the Master in Mental Health, Faculty of Health Sciences. She is also a clinical psychiatric nurse at the Stavanger University Hospital with a special expertise in eating disorders. Her clinical work is related to binge eating problems and mothers with eating disorders. Her research focuses on nursing aspects in the patient-nurse relationship especially guilt and shame, trust and uncertainty in illness. She is also involved in research targeting obesity, binge eating problems as well as qualitative processes in lifestyle concerns in persons with mental health illness.
