In the media: In this interview in Kjønnsforskning.no (in Norwegian) Post-doctoral Fellow Birgitta Haga Gripsrud talks about an exciting study which explores psychosocial and symbolic aspects of the breast. This study relied on a new qualitative method, the Visual Matrix, which members of the Professional Relations research group have developed alongside Danish and British colleagues from Psychosocial Studies (see here for two of our other publications on Visual Matrix) since 2013.
Our new research group member, Associate Professor Ingvil Hellstrand, has been interviewed by Kjønnsforskning.no about a recent publication on the relationship between science fiction and real-world phenomena such as women's oppression and the refugee crisis. Hellstrand has not only been awared the Outstanding Young Researcher award from the University of Stavanger – she is also an active academic commentator across different media in the Norway. As a result, in 2017 she received the Norwegian Sociology Society's Dissemination Prize.
