  •  About the Track:

The emphasis on culture as an important economic factor in regional development is increasing (EU 2006). The importance of the tertiary sector, the new economic paradigm emphasising informatisation and immaterial products, implies that the cultural and creative sector may be regarded as critical sectors concerning economical development. Thus, studies of this sector can be seen as a vision for the future of the economy in general. Insights in these processes could give a profound understanding of possible future innovations.

Chair: Nils Asle Bergsgard, Senior Researcher IRIS, Dr. Polit. (Sociology)

Co-Chair: Dr. Beatriz Garica, Director Impacts 08 ? The Liverpool Model
