In a globalized world, joint project work across countries and continents have become a normal part of business life. Yet, decades in, we still struggle with the efficiency of international cooperation.
This seminar will present lessons learnt from international work in sales and project management in a highly dynamic and competitive industry – logistics automation. Among the topics addressed are bottlenecks in organizations, incentive structures, opportunity cost, and risk.
The topics will be presented in the context of a case study in logistics automation. Slots are limited, registration is free. Deadline for registration is 16. september

BIO: Jakob Beer, Director Business Development Food Retail at SSI Schäfer Automation from Germany will visit Stavanger and talk to us about the "Lessons Learnt in International Sales and Project Management".
Jakob has held different positions within SSI Schäfer Automation as Logistics Engineer, Director Business Development, and Vice President of the Market Sector Food Retail. He holds degrees in Logistics and Engineering Management and researched bottlenecks in supply networks for his PhD thesis. He runs a logistics consultancy and is an advisor to some start-ups in the Online Grocery market. Jakob is based in Würzburg, Germany, but is hopelessly in love with Stavanger.
