Strategic education funds granted for the ARTecho project

Professor Liyanage received NOK 220 000 on behalf of IKM (Institutt for konstruksjonsteknikk og materialteknologi) for the ARTecho project: Augmented Reality Applications for System Dynamics, Predictive Monitoring, and Analytics within Industrial Asset Management Lab. This is a project dedicated to Educational quality and Learning environment in Asset management education at UiS.

Prof. Liyanage together with Associate Prof. Idriss El-Thalji is working on an interesting project to bring the digital capabilities and interactive learning based on industrial cases together.

The University of Stavanger announced that a total of 1 million kroner is allocated to 4 projects at the Faculty of Science and Technology (Det teknisk-naturvitenskapelige fakultet). The Working Group for Educational Quality and Learning Environment presented project funding to promote teaching quality and learning environment at TN.

The reason for the announcement is that the faculty wishes to focus on education quality and raise the status of working with quality in teaching. According to the Faculty Board, the working group has the mandate to prioritize and allocate funds.

There were a total of 15 applications. In total, 2,730,580 kroner was applied. The working group has distributed a total of NOK 980,000.The working group has ranked the applications for quality and relevance.
