Introducing Master's Corner

IOR NORWAY 2018 will provide a new meeting place between the master students at petroleum engineering and the industry. Maybe you will meet your future employer this spring?

Master's Corner will provide new opportunities for companies to find qualified employees, as well as giving students the opportunity to showcase what they are working on.

Programme IOR NORWAY 2018

At IOR NORWAY 2018, which will be held in Tjodhallen 24-25 April, a meeting place will be set up for students who are in the final phase of the studies to present themselves to companies.

Solid feature

Master's Corner will from now on hopefully be a solid feature under IOR NORWAY.

"We will create a meeting place where students will be able to give a short presentation of their master's theses, or give a brief overview of current topics the students think it would be exciting to write a paper about. And where the participants from the industry can give their feedback on already started tasks or point out suggested themes to better answer questions, challenges or needs in the industry," director at The National IOR Centre of Norway, Merete Vadla Madland states.

Master's Corner is especially intended for the master students at petroleum engineering at University of Stavanger, but also other studies that correlate with IOR (improved oil recovery) will be considered.

Want to participate?

If you are a master student writing your thesis, you might want to participate in Master's Corner. In that case, send approximately 450 words about your project to The National IOR Centre of Norway by 1 April. In addition you should send us a short CV (bio + picture + contact information). We will print a booklet for you to hand out to the delegates from the industry. Your text (thesis and CV) should not exceed 1 A4 page.

Day two of the conference (25 April) is especially devoted to the master students. This day you will have your own area of Tjodhallen to meet up with the industry. The conference programme of day two starts with a greeting to the students from the County Mayor Solveig Ege Tengesdal.
