Poster themes are IOR/EOR processes and upstream petroleum technology aligned with the topics associated with the organizers. We focus on environmentally friendly technologies and close collaboration with the industry. The best poster will receive an award during the conference.
Please submit your abstract (approx. 450 words + a figure in word or pdf) in an email here before 1 February, 2019 to be considered for the poster session. We would also like the candidates to submit a short bio and a picture. Note: The poster session is mainly for PhD candidates, but also Master candidates / Postdocs / others can attend. Master students will get their own poster area, Master's Corner.
All submitted abstracts will be evaluated based on scientific quality, relevance and themes. Abstracts that correlate with the conference theme «All for IOR, IOR for all» will be prioritized. Confirmation will be issued 11 February 2019, along with poster guidelines. It is also expected that the candidates prepare a 1-minute oral presentation of their poster and participate in the stand-up sessions at the conference.
Financial support for PhD students
The Petroleum Research School of Norway (NFiP) has made available a grant to support for conference participation of approximately 50 PhD students at Norwegian universities and university colleges. Support can also be given to students at NFiP's international collaborating universities, but Norwegian universities will be prioritized. Support may be given on a «first come first served»-basis. Priority will be given to those presenting a poster.
PhD students eligible for support may apply for a reimbursement of costs incurred from conference participation fee (lunch and conference dinner included), travel and hotel expences up to a maximum of NOK 7500. Note: We do not cover other meals than those served at the conference. For more details about how to apply, please contact administrative coordinator Iren Lobekk.
