Master's Corner will provide opportunities for companies to find qualified employees, as well as giving students the opportunity to showcase what they are working on.
At IOR NORWAY 2019, which will be held in Tjodhallen 19-20 March, a meeting place will be set up for students who are in the final phase of the studies to present themselves to companies.
Master's Corner was introduced last year, and will be a solid feature under IOR NORWAY.
"This is a meeting place where students are able to give a short presentation of their master's theses, or give a brief overview of current topics the students think it would be exciting to write a paper about. And where the participants from the industry can give their feedback on already started tasks or point out suggested themes to better answer questions, challenges or needs in the industry," director at The National IOR Centre of Norway, Merete Vadla Madland states.
Master's Corner is especially intended for the master students at petroleum engineering at University of Stavanger, but also other studies that correlate with IOR (improved oil recovery) will be considered. At the conference in March, the students are asked to participate in the poster session together with PhD candidates and postdocs.
