Sinopec visited the Centre

A group of six representatives from Sinopec visited The National IOR Centre of Norway 18 November.

The representatives from Sinopec together with Ying Guo, Tina Puntervold and Aksel Hiorth from the IOR Centre. In the Chinese delegation: Huanquan Sun, Chengyuan Lyu, Xulong Cao, Guoqin Xue, Yanbo Jiang and Rui Wang. The purpose of the visit was building connection and seeking for potential cooperation. During the visit the delegation had meetings with representatives from The National IOR Centre of Norway, hosted by University of Stavanger and NORCE. They also visited NORCE offices in Bergen.

Discussion regarding current and future cooperation and cooperation within research was the main focus of the visit. 

Sinopec is one of China's three largest petroleum companies.

«China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) is a super-large petroleum and petrochemical enterprise group, established by the state in July 1998 on the basis of the former China Petrochemical Corporation, and further incorporated as a limited liability corporation in August 2018,» according to the company's web page.
