Christina Archetti, professor ved Universitet i Oslo
Cristina Archetti is Professor in Political Communication and Journalism at the University of Oslo. She is author, among other books, of Understanding Terrorism in the Age of Global Media: A Communication Approach (Palgrave, 2012). Her research interests cover security, politics, and strategic communication: the role of communication in extremism and political violence, the impact of new media on diplomacy and public diplomacy 2.0, the media coverage of war and conflict, the effect of digital technologies on politics and journalism.
Cristina serves on the editorial board of the journal Critical Studies on Terrorism and has over a decade of experience in teaching political communication. Beyond academia, Cristina has taught about the role of communication in Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) on courses provided by the Unites States Institute of Peace (USIP) and the Hedayah Center (Abu Dhabi); she regularly lectures for the NATO Strategic Communication Centre of Excellence in Riga (Latvia).
