International students can only enrol for studies at the University of Stavanger once a year, in August.

Application deadline for international applicants applying for Master's programmes.
Qualified applications will be processed by an admission committee at the faculty.
The admission process will be completed in May, or earlier. The application outcome will be sent out via e-mail only.
If you are granted admission, you should immediately contact the Norwegian Embassy or Consulate in your home country regarding obtaining a study permit (visa).
Non EU/EEA citizens who need a study permit (visa) must transfer the required amount by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) to the university deposit account within 3 weeks after receiving admission. The information about the deposit transfer will be given to the admitted students.
NB! If applicants have not deposited the required amount within the required deadline, the university reserves the right to cancel admission. Applicants must contact the admission office within the required deadline for any further arrangements.
18 May 2019
Students interested in student accommodation must apply within 18 May. Application link will be sent to the admitted students with further information.
Orientation Days for newly admitted students take place (mandatory attendance). The programme will be published online in advance.
1 September 2019
Deadline to register as a student at the University of Stavanger. Students who have not received their visa in time or arrive delayed to Stavanger are not permitted to enrol at the University of Stavanger after 1 September.
