About me
I am interested in the relationship between subjects and objects – often referred to as relations between the human and the non-human – and how different forms of intra-action emerge from their encounters. Previously, I explored such relationships through a study of chess. My academic focus includes relational ontology, new materialism, actor-network theory, and affect studies.
My research
In my PhD project, I investigate the roles of objects in Stavanger's 900th anniversary celebration in 2025. I am particularly interested in how the 900-year-old cathedral and the restaurant street Pedersgata participate in shaping and carrying out the celebration. The study is based on qualitative methods such as interviews and observation.
Academic background
I hold a bachelor's degree in Culture and Communication and a master's degree in Sociology from the University of Oslo.
