Learning outcome

After completing the course, the student should have acquired knowledge leading him/her to the research front in his/her PhD topic.

Method of work

The topic involves a scientific work, either experimental or theoretical, or in general a combination. After completion of the work, the student will have to write a report to describe the work done, with references to the literature, covering the scientific themes in his/her assignment for the future PhD work. The student will present this report to an audience of his/her supervisor, invited faculties and others, for further discussion and debate/defense.

The work is graded as a whole: report, presentation and discussion.

Course assessment

There must be an early dialogue between the course supervisor, the student union representative and the students. The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester.In addition, a digital subject evaluation must be carried out at least every three years. Its purpose is to gather the students experiences with the course.
