5G will enable new advanced services, the knowledge of 5G unlocks a view of the future of ICT and its opportunities.
Content
The Fifth Generation (5G) of the mobile networks aims to revolutionize the wireless communication by opening to new services.

The subject first introduces the different techniques and technologies in the physical and datalink layers of the 5G New Radio (NR) Air Interface. After introducing the cellular network, the 5G architecture principles will be explained and the enabled new use cases and applications will be described. The enabling network paradigms (network slicing, softwarization, virtualization, and edge computing) will be introduced. The 5G Radio Access Network and Core Network will be presented in detail. Finally, the deployment of the various 5G elements will be discussed.
