Information on how to recover or change password

Your username is the same as your student number or employee number (6 digits).

Your user name will be the same as your student number.

Activate your account

If you forgot or want to change your password, you can create a new password via https://konto.uis.no/en/ 

  • Contain at least 8 characters
  • Contain 1 of the following requirements:
    • Uppercase letter
    • Number
    • Special character (e.g., #!"&%@)
  • Not be the same as one of your six most recently used passwords
  • Not contain part of your name or username

Password

  • Passwords are created when you activate your IT account.
  • All services at UiS use the same password.

Termination of User Account and Email

Your account will be closed when you no longer have active student status at UiS.

Note: Remember to copy your data before the account is closed and inform your contacts about the termination of your email address.
