The consequence is changes in customer preferences and demands for new goods and services. New products and quality standards require innovation and new competence. Leadership can have an important impact on value creation, both technologically and socially, especially in competence driven businesses. Knowledge and insight in what constitutes good leadership is essential for building a good framework for the organisations value creation.

Development, growth and external and internal adjustment has to be managed. As do learning and innovative processes. Leadership affects the organisations use and development of social, technological and commercial recourses. Strategic leadership integrates and combines knowledge of different competitive environments with relevant strategic tools and alternatives. Leadership is an essential ingredient at all levels in this process, from analysis to implementation.
