The students will write a thesis in one of two sub-disciplines of English: (applied) linguistics or literature. The student chooses topic, research material and relevant reading in consultation with a supervisor. The student must submit a thesis proposal containing a title and research questions, as well as drafts of the thesis, within given deadlines.

By the end of the course, the students will be able to:

present important academic material such as theories, problems and solutions, both in writing and orally, as well as using other relevant forms of communication
Required prerequisite knowledge
Students must have a minimum of 50 ECTS in introductory English courses or equivalent in order to begin the specialization.
