UiS has something called SiS which offers housing, runs the cafeteria and a gym right on campus. I usually start my day at SiS sports centre which has a free sauna!

Campus Ullandhaug
At campus Ullandhaug you can grab a cup of coffee on your walk from your student accommodation to your lecture.
You can find treasures at the thrift store "Ombrukshuset", buy books, study at the library, work out at SiS sports centre, or participate in many different events.
Campus Bjergsted
Campus Bjergsted is beautifully located close to Stavanger city centre. The area is just a short walk from Old Stavanger and Stavanger Concert Hall.
Students and employees at Bjergsted host up to 200 concerts and performances per year.
7. Laboratories for a practical approach to learning
We have dozens of laboratories that are actively used in education and research.
The course exceeded all of my expectations, offering a fantastic combination of both practical, lab-based learning and engaging theoretical classes.
8. An exciting cultural life
Stavanger is ranked as one of the best culture cities in Norway. Explore the colourful street "Fargegaten", Old Stavanger, Tou Scene, street art in Pedersgata, the student culture house Folken, Stavanger Concert Hall, Rogaland Theater, Fiskepiren, Sølvberget, Museum of Archaeology, Museum Stavanger and much more.
9. Work out at one of Norway's biggest exercise and climbing centres
SiS sports centre is one of Norway's biggest exercise and climbing centres. Here you will find a crossfit area, a climbing wall and squash halls. In 2024 the centre will actually become the biggest sports centre of the Nordic countries!
10. Our main University library is open 24/7
The main University library at campus Ullandhaug is open 24/7 for students.
In the library, you will find books, reading areas, and digital offers such as electronic books and journals, databases, and other online resources both in Norwegian and English.
