Dr Rosalynn Austin who visited the PROHealth research group in August of 2022 joined the team in March as post-doctoral researcher. The team are very excited about her joining the group as the research in her PhD is relevant to the eHealth @H2H project.

Her PhD looked at the connection between heart failure symptoms and burden of treatment. Publications from her PhD are linked on her University of Stavanger profile page.

Due to her research, she believes that the current care pathways for people with heart failure need updating. She is interested in exploring if digital applications are a possible solution to some of the issues with care pathways, making joining this team and research project a valuable opportunity.

The first few months of her new role here a University of Stavanger getting familiar with the project. She has reviewed the work accomplished so far and explored the plans for the future. Based on this understanding in and co-operation with the team she has outlined a plan for her contributions to the project. In June she presented to her plans to project team, user advisory board (patients and members of the public), and the international scientific advisory board the proposal for the work that she will be doing within the team.

For the first year she will focus on the analysis of data from the feasibility work completed last year. She will also help the team as they now deliver the next stage of the project.

The team is looking forward to working with Rosalynn as well as helping her to enjoy her time here in Norway. You can follow her research journey on any of her social media accounts:

  • Twitter and LinkedIn is where she posts about the work she does in research.
  • On Instagram she posts about the adventures she has alongside her research work.
