Bio

Dawn er en miljøarkeolog som har jobbet bl.a. i Storbritannia, Island, Canada og Norge, og har ekspertise i analyse av arkeologiske trevirke og planterester. Hun forsker på hvordan mennesker utnyttede planteressurser i fortida, og hvordan denne kunnskap kan brukes for å skape mer bevisst samhandling mellom mennesket og natur i nåtid og fremtid. Dawn leder NFR-prosjektet Marine resource gathering and infrastructure in the Norse North Atlantic (MARGAIN)  I tillegg er hun en av lederne i UiS programområde for forskning BEAM og EAA Community of Research on Wild Plant Resources.
