Studieprogramleder og faggruppeleder ved PPU i utøvende og skapende kunstfag ved Fakultet for utøvende kunstfag. Underviser i pedagogikk og kunstfagdidaktikk. Doktorgradsstipendiat i pedagogikk/musikkpedagogikk ved Universitetet i Innlandet. Har bakgrunn som bratsjist i Oslo-Filharmonien, Kungliga Filharmonikerna i Stockholm og Den Norske Opera, med solistdebut på bratsj i Oslo i 1992. Musikkutdanning fra Norge og Tyskland, og mastergrad i allmenn pedagogikk fra Universitetet i Oslo (2016).

Avhandlingsarbeidet utforsker implikasjoner av kontrafaktisk tenkning ("det som kunne ha vært") i pedagogiske kontekster og knyttet til estetiske erfaringer, forankret i pedagogisk filosofi.
