Experience four musicians deeply rooted in the American jazz tradition. This quartet presents selected favorites from the standard jazz repertoire, along with original compositions by Wayne Brasel and Skage Larsen.

Skage Larsen, 24 years old, is a fresh new voice on the Norwegian jazz scene. With a bachelor’s degree from the jazz program at NTNU, he has already performed with renowned artists such as Marius Neset, Vigleik Storaas, and Kirsti Huke.

Wayne Brasel is an American guitarist who has lived in Stavanger for over 20 years. A virtuosic and sought-after musician, he has a background in Los Angeles’ studio scene and has collaborated with artists like Peter Erskine, Rick Margitza, and John Patitucci.

Lasse Gjestrud is a versatile bassist with a master’s degree from the University of Stavanger, known for blending jazz tradition with open, genre-crossing expressions.

Johannes Ulveraker is an award-winning drummer from Haugesund with solid experience from collaborations with Hildegunn Gjedrem, Tricia Boutté, and Ytre Suløens Jassensemble.

This will be a concert filled with energetic interplay, lyrical melodies, and rich jazz tradition — delivered by four musicians at the top of their game.
