Jazz in Arkivet: MSL trio

Welcome to a concert with Silas Gomes (piano), Lasse Gjestrud (bass), and Magnus Schjølseth (drums) at Arkivet on Saturday 8 November at 2pm.

Brazilian musician Silas Gomes is a pianist, composer, and arranger who brings his personal story into jazz, drawing inspiration from Afro Jazz and a rich blend of Brazilian musical traditions. Self-taught, he began his career early in his hometown of Salvador, performing with bands from the Bahian pop scene.

Since moving to Stavanger, Silas Gomes has collaborated with several talented local musicians and developed his own projects, including the MSL Trio. Magnus Schjølseth is currently studying jazz at the Faculty of Performing Arts at the University of Stavanger.
