Welcome to a taste of L’elisir d’amore– a sparkling comic opera about unrequited love, a dubious potion, and a village brimming with emotions, presented in the Eikenes Hall at the Faculty of Performing Arts, University of Stavanger.
L’elisir d’amore is a two-act comic opera with music by Gaetano Donizetti and a libretto by Felice Romani. It premiered on 12 May 1832 at the Teatro della Canobbiana in Milan.
This evening, you’ll get a glimpse of the music, characters, and romantic chaos that unfolds when a simple farm boy places his hopes in magic to win the heart of his beloved.
