You need:
- Some effervescent tablets (for example vitamin C tablets)
- A measuring cup
- A bowl
Recipe:
- Fill the measuring cup with water and into the bowl
- Place the measuring cup upside down in the water so that it is in the water and filled with water
- Quickly place an effervescent tablet under the measuring cup in the water
- Immediately it erupts violently!
Effervescent tablets releases carbon dioxide (CO2) gas when wet. The gas that comes out displaces the water, and collects in the measuring cup. Our vitamin C tablets gave more than 100 ml of gas - absolutely amazing!
