Assistant Professor Sean Foley at Maquarie University, Sydney, Australia, is a renowned expert on cryptocurrency. His article on illegal uses of Bitcoin (Sex, Drugs and Bitcoin), is one of the most quoted academic works on cryptocurrency. 

Prof Foley is a key leader within the Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre at MU, bridging industry, and academia, and is currently actively researching the financial applications and utilisation of cryptocurrencies, including automated market makers, DeFi lending protocols and stable coins.
