Feminist Knowledge Production is an interdisciplinary research group that engages with various forms of critical knowledge production.
The group is grounded in what we identify as an overarching span between theory and social change, and we are particularly concerned with contemporary issues relevant to the field of gender studies and adjacent disciplines.
With an interdisciplinary approach, we explore topics such as: affect; biopolitics; care and care ethics; colonialism and (de)coloniality; discourse; elites and anti-elitism; feminist media studies; feminist posthumanism; feminist theory and methodology; gender; institutionalization; intersectionality; migration; performativity; philosophy of science; political theory; power and structures of difference; racialization and racism; reproduction and reproductive (in)justice.
The research group is affiliated with the Centre for Gender Studies at the Department of Media and Social Sciences (IMS), and aims to strengthen both individual and collective research activities. The group serves as a platform for presenting work-in-progress, discussing research literature, developing research ideas and projects, and organizing academic events.
