Method of work

The course is taught in intensive modules. Furthermore, the course is related to Formidling III where our students have the opportunity to look back on their artistic process and where, through introduction to different methods, one gets help to find a research focus related to individual performance and also the collective, choreographic process. This reflection is developed through conversations and lectures. Students gain insight into how PhD fellows and staff at the faculty work with artistic research. In these artistic meetings, students gain insight into how the individual works with methodological perspectives, ethics and theory in connection with KU.

The course emphasizes a collective teaching method where one is investigative and active.

The main work requirement is an installation where the individual student gets to develop a "work of reflection". The course gives an introduction to different ways of researching performative processes, this is a central part of the work method.

Compulsory attendance, see description of this under general about the study programme at the start of the plan. Individual and group work along the way associated with lectures.

Course assessment

The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester. In addition, a digital course evaluation must be carried out at least every three years. Its purpose is to gather the students experiences with the course.
