PhD Project course in Industrial Economics (IND900)

This course adapts the curriculum to Ph.D. research topic for each candidate. The course is a supervised self study, where the candidate together with the supervisor choose papers and books at the research front for the given topic. Theory and methods are then applied at the candidate's research topic. Presentation at international conferences is an integrated part of the course.

The course will contain topics at the advanced level in industrial economics. The course is intended to bring the student to the research front in an area pertaining to his/her PhD project.

Learning outcome

After completed the course, the student shall have sufficiently detailed knowledge of the topic to be at the research front within the field and will be able to perform thorough research and development within the specific topic.

Course assessment

There must be an early dialogue between the course coordinator, the student representative and the students. The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester.In addition, a digital course evaluation must be carried out at least every three years.
