Experiences from a Decade of Smart City Research in Stavanger.

Twenty-three researchers across faculties and institutes at the University of Stavanger (UiS), along with regional partners, have contributed to a new book about research and experiences with the Smart City in Stavanger.
The book reflects the wide range of Smart City research, with perspectives from climate and sustainability, data and communication, mobility and transport, education and children, arts and culture, innovation and entrepreneurship, security, economy, and democracy.
Stavanger city
The aim of the book is to present a holistic and multidisciplinary view of smart and sustainable cities.
Using the city of Stavanger as a case study, the book showcases theoretical reflections and practical examples of how smart and sustainable cities can be established.
This is a book that has the potential to change power structures. In the Smart City, the goal is to ensure that everyone is included: children, newcomers, people with disabilities, people of diverse backgrounds, people with limited financial resources, and those from marginalized groups.
