UiS-students with Jazz School for children

The jazz students from UiS Faculty of Performing Arts invites children and youths (10-16 years) with interest in music to a jazz school in the Bjergsted-park. Through aural-based methodology they'll learn to improvise and play jazz related music in different interaction groups. All the lessons leads up to a concert right before the winter break. The pedagogy students from the jazz section are the instructors, and the project is lead by supervisor and bassist Theodor Barsnes Onarheim, who has a long experience with pedagogy.

All lessons and teaching will be at UiS Faculty of Performing Arts premises in the Bjergsted-park.

Who is this for?

This jazz school is for children and youths from 10 to 16 years. All participants needs basic knowledge of their instrument, and will be divided in to groups suited for their skill level. All instruments and vocalists can join!

Please include the pupil's name, age and instrument - and instrumental teacher if applicable.

The Jazz School only costs 500 NOK, and invoice will be sendt afterwards.

Please note that the Jazz School has a brek in December.
