From May, The Iron Age Farm is open from 10:00 to 16:00 every day. The summer season lasts until August 31, and offers lots of fun for the whole family. Experience how people lived 1500 years ago in Rogaland!

Weekdays May 2 – June 20:
- The longhouses are open – meet our museum hosts.
PROGRAM:
Weekdays from June 22 to August 29 and every weekend from May 3 to the end of September:
- Tours at 12:00, 13:00 (in English) and 14:00.
- Activities: Try to throw a spear, find the clues along our trail around the farm, and challenge someone to a sword fight!

Activities on weekends
- June 28 and 29: Participate in making Iron Age pottery.
- July 5 and 6: The blacksmith forges rivets for the farmer's longship.
- July 12 and 13: The housewife weaves a “varafell”. A “varafell” is woven from wool and resembles both the appearance and properties of a sheepskin.
- July 19 and 20: The blacksmith forges rivets for the farmer's longship.
- July 26 and 27: The housewife weaves a “varafell”. A “varafell” is woven from wool and resembles both the appearance and properties of a sheepskin.
- August 2 and 3: The blacksmith forges rivets for the farmer's longship.
- August 9 and 10: Time for storytelling – come and hear about the history of swords (5 minutes) and create your sword from a stick.
- August 16 and 17: The blacksmith forges rivets for the farmer's longship.
- August 23 and 24: Dyeing with Plants.
- August 30 and 31: The housewife weaves “varafell”. A “varafell” is woven from wool and both looks like and has the properties of a sheepskin.
