  • I'm from: Stavanger

Programme subjects, to a large extent, allow for reflection on one's own performing practice, mostly together with other students and the supervisor.
That's great!

Morten Røsbak , Master programme student

I chose Master programme in Stavanger because:

I wanted to take a deep dive into my own creative universe, and explore all the musical nooks and crannies of both myself and the piano. And since there are so many fun and skilled people on the faculty, I thought that a couple of years here could make me more fun and skilled as well.

How is the everyday life for a Master student?

Varied! Playing, writing, hanging out, chatting, reflecting and discussing, among many other things.
Study Programme subjects, to a large extent, allow for reflection on one's own performing practice, mostly together with other students and the supervisor. That's great!

This is my dream job:

To play music.

My favourite activity at Campus Bjergsted:

To play music!

This is typical Stavanger:

What is not typical for Stavanger? Stavanger has almost everything. Well…of course, some things are less typical than others, which is also typical in itself. Besides, that's often where the potential is hidden!

This is what I like to do in my spare time:

Either I don't have free time, or free time is all I have. Not really sure. Anyways, I like to create things, think, be outdoors, hang out with family and friends, be indoors, climb lampposts – those kinds of things.

My top three tips to this year’s applicants:

  • Practice with purpose
  • Let yourself go
  • Trust yourself
