Embark on an inspiring exploration into the world of diatoms. With their astonishing diversity, diatoms serve as the cornerstone of countless facets of human existence. These single-celled algae play a pivotal role in our existence, as they generate up to a quarter of all organic substances, as well as nearly every other breath of oxygen we take.

Join us as we explore the diatom formation, talk about their unexpected utility in criminology, and learn about how their microscopic skeletons may contribute to a future of zero emissions.

Prepare to be enchanted by the boundless potential of diatoms as Veronika Abdulina, PhD Fellow at Department of Energy Resources, UiS, present their extraordinary journey.
