Lecture with Dag Jørund Lønning.

Is it possible to live richer and more exciting lives without worsening the climate and nature crisis? This is the question professor, rector, and author Dag Jørund Lønning will address when he visits the library this Tuesday.
To overcome the crisis, Lønning argues that the solution does not lie in economic growth and ever-increasing consumption. Instead, he points to new pathways where both people and nature can thrive.
Lønning is a professor of innovation and rural development, rector at Høgskulen for grøn utvikling, and an engaged author. He is currently publishing the book series Losebøkene, in which he shows how we can create value and build thriving local communities without destroying nature. He has also written several books on soil, which have inspired both gardeners and farmers.
Language: Norwegian.
This is a collaboration between the university library and Grøn omstilling at UiS.
The event is free and open to everyone.
