Application and Admission Process for Music Performance Studies

For our music performance studies, there are 2 rounds of entrance exams. The first round will be conducted by submitting a self-produced video within the application deadline of 15 May. Your video link will be added in the specification form. The second round will take place at our campus in Bjergstedparken in June.

If you pass the committees assessment you will be invited to round 2. Round 2 consists of auditions and interviews, as well as a theory and aural examination for applicants for bachelor's degrees. A 30-minute audition with an interview is set aside for each applicant, and you must be prepared to perform the entire audition program.

Applicants residing outside Norway, Sweden or Denmark can submit the entire repertoire requirement via video (both rounds 1 and 2). If you pass round 1, you are invited to a digital interview as round 2 in mid-June.

Round 1 and 2 is assessed by the same committee. Within the scheduled audition, an interview will also take place where a representative from the student administration will participate. During the interview, you will have the opportunity to explain your goals and motivation for the programme, while at the same time giving you the opportunity to ask questions to both the teacher and the study administration. Applicants for the Master and PDM will also discuss their submitted plans for a future Master/PDM project with the committee.

Applicants for conducting will have an audition and a somewhat longer, separate interview with the committee and representative from the study administration.
