Kaleidoskop is a festival that focuses on important events, life changes and critical perspectives. By presenting different points of view from both academia and other active social actors, the festival aims to create and develop new ideas and opportunities.
Problem-solving is about finding solutions to all kind of problems. It can be seen as a basic strategy for addressing both everyday challenges, such as getting dressed, and more specific challenges, such as coding a robot.

When the world-renowned writer Kathy Lette traced her roots in the Australian TV program "Who Do You Think You Are?", she ended up in Stavanger and at UiS.
Attending childcare for the first time can be extra challenging for shy children. To support shy children's well-being as best as possible, the staff needs to recognize children’s needs in different situations. A good collaboration between parents and childcare staff is extra important when there are shy children in the group.

Professor Merja Stenroos has been awarded the most prestigious grant from the EU, the European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant. It is the first time a UiS research project has been awarded a grant from the ERC.
Activities within the research group EduWorkSoCo exhibit a thematic coherence centered around the following three perspectives: Graduate employment and entrepreneurship, international higher education and female researchers within the academic working environment.
