OMEGA Collective

OMEGA Collective is an ensemble of 19 students who studies jazz at Faculty of Performing Arts, led by composer and trumpeter, Ole Martin Rosvold Haugen. The compositions are a mix of elements from several different genres, and the composer is inspired by, among others, Ibrahim Maalouf, the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and Marius Neset. Exploratory ideas and playfulness create a unique soundscape for this group. With groove-based riffs, modal, floating melodies and complex, rhythmic figures in wind, they create their own playroom, where everything is allowed!

The band has been selected to hold a concert and record in collaboration with CEMPE (Centre for Excellence in Music Performance Education) at NMH, and will release their debut album already this summer.
