Welcome to the Faculty of Performing Arts annual chamber music competition. The competition
takes place on Friday 22 March at 13:00 in the Eikenes hall and is open to the public.
- I wanted to study under professor Ellen Nisbeth and explore Scandinavian traditions.
- Since there are so many fun and skilled people on the faculty, I thought that a couple of years here could make me more fun and skilled as well.
- Don't be afraid to challenge and explore music in different ways. After all, this is the time to do it!
- At the Faculty of Performing Arts I quickly got to know many great fellow students both in the cello and other sections.
- My dream is to make a difference in gender equality within the cultural environment

My summer job: The flute student works voluntary with arranging seminars in her home country during the summers
You can now apply at the Faculty of Performing Arts at the University of Stavanger. Available study places are; classical, jazz, conducting and church music. We also have available study places at PPU, music production and DigJazz.
From 2023, all applicants to studies at the Faculty of Performing Arts are required to upload a valid passport or national ID card to confirm citizenship. This is due to the introduction of tuition fees for applicants with citizenship outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland.
